Information For Funeral Directors And Direct Cremation Providers

An increasing number of families are choosing direct cremation for good reasons: arrangements are simpler, and costs are reduced. Later, some families find they would like a quiet, private way to remember their loved one, without organising a funeral or memorial service.

Direct Remembrance provides a simple way for families to do this, at a time and place of their choosing. We offer printed remembrance booklets and recorded, guided remembrance services that families can use privately, whenever they feel ready. Our approach, like yours, is focused on putting families first and keeping things straightforward.

Direct Remembrance is an aftercare service for families who have arranged direct cremations, and available to them whenever they choose. It is not a funeral or direct cremation service itself, but instead complements a direct cremation after it has taken place. You can download a brief summary for funeral professionals here.

You will be familiar with the advantages that direct cremation can bring. For some families, however, the desire to remember comes later. Direct Remembrance can be offered as part of your aftercare information for families who:

  • Do not want a traditional service
  • Prefer something private
  • Would value a way to remember without time pressure

There is no requirement for families to proceed, and no action required from you beyond sharing the information where you feel appropriate.

We don’t believe in hard sell. Our team consists of experienced writers, graphic designers and funeral celebrants who are determined to deliver high quality products to help families remember their loved one in a way, time and place of their choosing. It’s an ideal aftercare solution that puts the family first. If you would like further information, or to discuss whether this service may be suitable for your families, then please email nick@directremembrance.co.uk. If appropriate, referral fees can also be discussed.
